The world’s foremost writers, thinkers and performers will descend on our vibrant spa town, The Festival Town, when the Festival Village returns to the heart of Regency Cheltenham, for a jam-packed ten days of fascinating discussion and unforgettable memories.
Cheltenham Literature Festival is the world’s first literature festival, first established 75 years ago. It leads the way in celebrating the written and spoken word, presenting the best new voices in fiction and poetry alongside literary greats and high-profile speakers.
An impressive ten-day programme is a mixture of ticketed events, free family activities and events and fringe events scattered throughout our Regency town.
The festival brings together some of the biggest names in publishing. Award-winning authors of fiction and non-fiction join poets, spoken word artists and new voices to delve into a range of topics including travel and adventure, food and drink, lifestyle, history, art and religion. Past guests have included Hillary Clinton, Brian Cox and David Attenborough.
