Cheltenham is especially popular with our guests for shopping, with a lovely mix of well-known brands, independent boutiques, and cafés where you can pause and watch the world go by.
Spend a morning browsing along the Promenade, enjoy a relaxed lunch, and maybe treat yourself to something special it’s the kind of day that feels like a proper break.
And with a bus stop and walking/cycle path right outside the park, you can head into town without worrying about parking, making the whole experience even more enjoyable.
Pittville Park
If you’re in the mood for a gentle, feel-good afternoon, Pittville Park is perfect.
Take a slow walk around the lakes, watch the swans drift by, and then treat yourself to a coffee overlooking the water. On a sunny day, it’s one of those places where you’ll want to linger a little longer.
Our tip: go mid-morning or early evening when it’s quieter it feels even more peaceful.
Gloucester Quays
For something a little livelier, Gloucester Quays offers the best of both worlds.
Browse the shops, then settle in at one of the many restaurants right by the water. As the evening sets in and the lights reflect on the docks, it becomes a really lovely spot for a relaxed meal or drink.
Our tip: it’s a great option for your first evening, easy, enjoyable, and something for everyone.
